I have no idea. Now I can no longer put my computer into Sleep mode. When I open the Start Menu and press sleep or close the lid (set to sleep when I do this), my computer does what it did in Windows 7 and appears to be in Sleepmode. But if I press a button on my keyboard or move the mouse, my computer goes through the entire boot-up process as if it had been Shut Down. All the apps I had open are closed and the computer seems to think that was just turned on.
I have made sure mydrivers were updated and set all my Sleep settings to how I had them in Windows 7, but it still does not work. I have an HP Pavilion g series and Windows 10 Home Edition. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Update: Until now, my computer will just not wake up and go through the boot-up process. When I press the Win key both sleep and hibernate are visible, but ni are grayed out and not available for use.
Power settings show turn off screen after 5 minutes and turn ophion computer after 30 minutes. Neither action will occur. While sleep puts your work and settings in memory and draws a small amount of power, hibernation puts your open documents and programs on your hard disk to the hiberfile (C:\hiberfil.sys), and then turns off your computer. Can anyone help restore these modes to my computer.Thank you.
